Fall TESOL Lecture at Cornerstone University
Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, will host its Fall TESOL Lecture on Thursday, October 16, 2008, with Dr. William Acton of Trinity Western University. CETC in Transition: We Still Need You!
As mentioned in the final “Letter From the Chair,” there are still some opportunities for people to be involved with the group as we transition into an independent forum (CELEF) and association (CELEA). Please prayerfully consider volunteering as treasurer or for one of these positions:
Newsletter Editor(s): We need one or two editors to develop our newsletter. One of our current editors, Meredith Bricker or Michael Lessard-Clouston, may be available to help in the transition.
E-List Manager: We need someone to help us set up an e-list in a new system, very soon. The e-list manager will assist in that process and serve as moderator of the new e-list. For questions on how an e-list functions you may contact our current e-list coordinator Anne Bruehler (anne.bruehler@indwes.edu).
Membership Coordinator: As we become an independent organization (CELEA) we need someone to help organize and maintain the list of current members.
If anyone is interested in any of these positions, please contact Michael Pasquale as soon as possible at michael.pasquale@cornerstone.edu.
Visit and Contribute to CETC’s Web Site
Now that TESOL is closing the caucuses (at the end of July 2008) and CETC is transitioning into CELEF, our Web site will become even more important, so be sure to bookmark it on your computer. Web manager Frank Tuzi continues to welcome submissions for and visitors to the CETC Web site (http://www.cetesol.org). If you would like to contribute to or help with the site in any way, please email Dr. Tuzi at webmaster@cetesol.org.
