Charge
The Convention Committee consists of the immediate past convention program chair (who serves as the committee chair), the current convention program chair, and the incoming convention program chair.
The Convention Committee serves to recommend policy and make decisions about the annual TESOL Convention program.
Activities
The committee develops the convention theme and oversees the academic program to ensure that the program is coherent and that diverse, relevant subject matter is represented. The committee also studies needs assessment tools and trends in the English language teaching community to inform their work on the convention's academic program.
