Charge
The Standards Committee directs, monitors, evaluates, and otherwise oversees all standards initiatives that support TESOL's mission and the needs of its members.
Activities
The committee oversees the development, approval, dissemination, and ongoing implementation of TESOL standards, including the approval of authors and editors to develop standards, and identifying and prioritizing future standards projects.
Qualifications
Members of the Standards Committee represent the diversity of expertise and program level of the larger TESOL membership. Each member of the committee has some level of experience and understanding of standards in education, and is willing to participate and contribute to all committee activities, including an annual meeting at the TESOL convention.
