TESOL Academies, Regional Conferences, and Symposia help TESOL professionals deepen their knowledge and sharpen their skills in a university setting. Presented by thought leaders in the field of English language teaching and learning, these in-person events get you out of your office and your classroom and into a learning context with your peers, where you can find new and better ways to serve your students.
For more information on TESOL professional development opportunities, please contact TESOL Education Programs.
TESOL Academies provide intensive, hands-on training in a workshop format for a wide variety of TESOL practitioners. Academies usually start at noon on Friday and run through Saturday afternoon. They are often held on a university campus, a perfect setting for peer-to-peer learning on a topic highly relevant to your needs.

TESOL Regional Conferences are three to five day events featuring keynote speakers and concurrent sessions. TESOL collaborates with its local affiliate to develop strands relevant to the local context, a call for proposals, and pre- and post-conference institutes. Proposals are peer reviewed.
These Regional Conferences would not be possible without TESOL's strategic partner, National Geographic Learning. Here is a list of upcoming Regional Conferences.
TESOL symposia are one-day, regional programs done in collaboration one of TESOL's worldwide TESOL affiliates. They provide you with an opportunity to talk face to face with leading experts in the field on one key topic selected by the affiliate.
TESOL members can access all the symposium papers in the TESOL Resource Center.
