More About This Course

E-portfolios can be used by both students and instructors to showcase their learning and accomplishments.  This course will focus on those principles used in creating an e-portfolio for an ESL/EFL instructor.  Participants will design and develop their own online portfolio using a free website builder:  weebly.com.  This e-portfolio will develop a theme or use a set of educational standards and will be designed for ongoing additions and updates.

What Will I Learn?

  • learn about the different purposes for an e-portfolio
  • examine various online facilities used to build one
  • choose a theme or set of educational standards
  • construct a concise online resume
  • write a rationale statement and educational philosophy
  • gather artifacts and write reflections
  • set up a design for ongoing development (e.g., goals)
