TESOL members who have earned the TESOL Core Certificate may earn an additional distinction, the TESOL Core Certificate Practitioner.
Prerequisites
- TESOL Core Certificate
- Membership in TESOL and your local TESOL affiliate (if available) for at least one additional year after successfully completing the TESOL Core Certificate
- Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of experience in the ELT field after completion of the TESOL Core Certificate Program.
- Payment of a one-time program administration fee
Additional requirements upon approval of prerequisites
- Submit a 10-hour unit of instruction and a guided reflection on your teaching of the unit.
- Complete 30 hours of additional, approved in-person and/or online professional development in the ELT field.
- Review and update your professional development plan.
- Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the ELT field by contributing two different types of resources to the TESOL Resource Center, publishing an article, or giving a presentation (through TESOL, a TESOL affiliate, or other recognized institution or organization)
