In all cases, attendees pay for their own meals or admission fees. Bring an umbrella if it looks like rain!

Wednesday

4:00 pm     Tour of Powell’s Books, the largest independent bookstore in the USA.
6:00 pm     Go to a pod of food carts for dinner and choose your cuisine!
7:00 pm     Walk around Portland’s Hawthorne District, take in dinner and a movie at McMenamin’s.
6:00 pm     Enjoy great Mexican food at Maya’s Taquería in downtown Portland. 

Thursday

4:00 pm     Get outside for a breath of fresh air and a walking tour of downtown Portland.
6:00 pm     Have dinner and walk around Portland’s Alberta Arts District.

Friday

7:00 am     Voodoo Donuts!  Grab breakfast together at Portland’s unique donut shop.
9:15 am     Portlanders love to  hike! Ride MAX up to the zoo and hike downhill through Washington Park to the city center.
2:30 pm     Tour Portland’s Chinese Garden just a short distance from the Convention Center.
4:30 pm     Admission is free at the Portland Art Museum on the fourth Friday of every month!
5:00 pm     Join colleagues for a Lebanese Dinner at Al-Amir.
6:00 pm     Happy hour for the LGBT Forum section at the Red Star Tavern.
6:00 pm     Dinner and possibly live theater in the trendy Northwest District. Sign up by 3:00 Thursday for theater tickets.
6:00 pm     How does Cuban food sound? Join colleagues at Pambiche’s Cuban Restaurant.
6:00 pm     Eat dinner at Mother’s Restaurant, featuring fresh northwest ingredients.
6:00 pm     Dinner at The Departure Lounge, an elegant restaurant with beautiful views from the 15th floor! Asian Fusion is the specialty.

Saturday

9:30 am     Walk south from the Convention Center on the Eastbank Esplanade along the Willamette River down to OMSI. 9:30 am     Tour Waterfront Park on the west side of the Willamette River.

10:00 am  Portland’s Saturday Market has local arts and crafts and a plethora of exotic foods.
1:00 pm     Take transit to Portland’s Aerial Tram for a ride up to the top of the West Hills.

Sunday

(Meet at Pioneer Courthouse Square)

10:00 am  Hiking in Forest Park, which has an extensive network of trails through the woods. If you’re a fan of Grimm, you’ll recognize the scenery.
10:00 am  Downtown Portland has extensive public art—take a walking tour to discover it!
