Why should I recruit at Job MarketPlace?
Each year thousands of English language teaching professionals attend the TESOL convention, making it an ideal opportunity to recruit. Recruiters may post jobs, screen resumes, and schedule interviews with candidates before the convention, allowing the recruiter to spend all of his/her time at the Job MarketPlace interviewing qualified candidates. But remember, only registered Job MarketPlace recruiters are permitted to advertise jobs or schedule interviews during the TESOL convention or refer to the TESOL convention in their job ad text. Job MarketPlace is your key resource for recruiting during the TESOL Convention, but space is limited, so reserve early!

How do I register for the Job MarketPlace?
Registration opens on TESOL's Career Center Web site on 1 October 2011. You must register as an employer and then may view the Job MarketPlace packages available. All registration is done online. If you are unable to pay with a credit card, please contact jmp@tesol.org before registering.

Where and when will the 2012 Job MarketPlace be held?
The 2012 Job MarketPlace will be held in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. The Job MarketPlace will be open 9am–6pm, March 29-30, 2012 and 9am–2pm on 31 March 2012.

What does the interview booth consist of?
Each 10x10 hard-walled interview booth with door includes a table, two chairs, a wastebasket, ID sign, electricity, internet connection, 1 job posting, 2 recruiters badges and access to online resumes. Premium booths also include a exhibit hall tabletop booth near the Job MarketPlace.

What kinds of advertising opportunities are available?>
Each package includes a job description to be posted on TESOL's online Career Center. As soon as a booth package has been purchased, a job posting will be available in the recruiter's Career Center account. Job MarketPlace job descriptions will be differentiated from non-Job MarketPlace descriptions by a signifying logo. Additional job descriptions may be purchased for a fee of $175.

Recruiters may also purchase advertisement space in the convention Program Book. Contact jkowall@tesol.org to request a reservation form. Reservations are due by January 2, 2012 and ad copy is due by January 13, 2012. You must be registered as a Job MarketPlace recruiter in order to place an job ad in the Program Book.

What kind of display can I bring?
While job seekers may not circulate in the interview area. Recruiters may display information in the exhibit hall tabletops. However, backdrop and full displays are not permitted, but small table top or table top pop-up displays may be used. No promotional materials of any type nor decorations can be stapled or tacked onto the exterior interview booth walls or any of the common areas of Job MarketPlace. Please note, to keep noise levels to a minimum, the use of audiovisual equipment is prohibited, with the exception of a silent laptop computer with a screen size of up to 17 inches.

Do I need to register for the convention to recruit at Job MarketPlace?
Job MarketPlace and the TESOL Convention are separate events with separate registration procedures. Convention registration is not included, nor is it required to recruit at Job MarketPlace. As a recruiter, you will be able to visit the Exhibit Hall, but you must register for the convention to attend sessions.

For security and privacy purposes, access to Job MarketPlace is tightly controlled. No one is permitted to enter Job MarketPlace without either a Job MarketPlace recruiter name badge or a TESOL Convention attendee name badge. Only registered Job MarketPlace recruiters may enter the private interview booth area. Individuals from your institution who are registered only as convention attendees will not be granted Recruiter ribbons and may not enter the Interview Booth area.
