More About This Seminar

Today’s language classrooms are vastly different from those of the middle to late 20th century, and the field of language education is changing at an ever-increasing rate. Traditional notions of language education are giving way to new, more innovative ways about how we think, learn, teach, acquire, and assess language.

In this webinar, we discuss how the field has evolved throughout the years, paying special attention to how technology can help facilitate student assessment.  Some of the emerging student assessment trends we will discuss include
  • new directions in online assessment
  • portfolio/e-portfolio assessment
  • alternatives in language assessment
  • performance and/or task-based assessment
