English Education in China: Striding into a New Era

19-22 July 2018

Organized by China Daily in partnership with TESOL International Association and Shanghai International Studies University, the TESOL International Association China Assembly is a high-level international English language teaching event in China. It aims to promote scholarship and cross-cultural understanding among English educators in China, and to enhance dialogue between China's ELT professionals with their peers worldwide. 
 
The Assembly will focus on one main theme and ​fifteen sub-themes across a variety of keynote speeches, panels, workshops and demonstrations etc. Through face-to-face interaction with leading experts and opportunities for peer-to-peer networking and knowledge sharing, the assembly will provide participants with practical, research-based ideas, strategies, and tools to facilitate on-going improvement in their ELT work.

Call for Presentations

The organizing committee welcomes presentations on any aspect of English Language Teaching. Proposals that target the following sub-themes are especially welcome. 

All presentations will be given in English. Presenters are encouraged to submit detailed descriptions of their presentation to the organizing committee to be considered for publication. 

Deadline for proposal submission has passed. The acceptance/rejection email will be sent on or about 18 June 2018.

Workshop: 30-minute session for presenters to share practical skills, techniques or ideas in an interactive format. 
Paper Presentation: 20-minute oral presentation session by individual.
Demonstration: 20-minute session for individual presenters to demonstrate a teaching design.
Poster Presentation: An all-day poster or paper displayed. 

Submission Requirements

Please submit the following:
  1. A title 
  2. Key words (no more than 50 words)
  3. An abstract (no more than 300 words)
  4. A short bio
Language: Presenters are encouraged to submit all information in English.
