Purpose
The goal of the TEIS Newsletter is to serve as a forum for TESOL teacher educators to learn, collaborate and share with one other around information and issues relevant to the preparation and development of ESL/EFL teachers. The newsletter will provide members of the Teacher Education Interest Section the opportunity to interact, and to share ideas, resources and information.
Audience
The TEIS Newsletter is designed for those who are interested in, and responsible for, the preparation and professional development of ESL/EFL teachers. This includes, but is not limited to: university educators who prepare ESL/EFL teachers, program administrators who prepare and/or supervise ESL/EFL teachers, teacher education policy makers, and researchers interested in ESL/EFL teacher education.
Vision:
- provide articles on the latest research and practice in TESOL teacher education
- integrate newsletter contents with the TEIS Web site
- keep members up-to-date on the people, business, and activities of the interest section
- preview IS highlights for the upcoming TESOL convention
- inform members of related professional opportunities (including workshops and conferences)
- share and review books and resources relevant to teacher education
