TESOL International Association Wins Silver Medal for Social Media

  • TESOL International Association (TESOL) has been honored with a Silver Medal in the Social Media category for Association TRENDS’ annual All-Media Contest.

    Alexandria, VA (14 February 2012) – TESOL International Association (TESOL) has been honored with a Silver Medal in the Social Media category for Association TRENDS’ annual All-Media Contest.

    TESOL’s entry was one of more than 450 entries in the association publications contest for 2011. “With the launch of the online TESOL Community and the development of our presence on Facebook and Twitter, TESOL has made a focused commitment to its activities in the social media sphere over the past year,” explains Executive Director Rosa Aronson, CAE, PhD. “We’re very proud of what we’ve been able to achieve in one year, so it’s very gratifying to be recognized by our peers in the association community.”

    The TRENDS All Media Contest is an annual competition held exclusively for associations, recognizing the most creative and effective communication vehicles developed in the industry over the prior year. The 2011 competition included more than 450 entries in 22 categories of association communications.

    TESOL was honored at the 33nd Annual Salute to Association Excellence, which was held February 10, 2012 at the Capital Hilton in Washington DC. The winning entry was on display at the event, along with the other winners. As well as being honored at the Salute to Association Excellence, this year’s All-Media Contest winners were featured in the January issue of TRENDS, and online.

    Association TRENDS is the national newspaper for association executives and suppliers, spotlighting the latest news, information and trends in association management for the professional staff of international, national, state, regional and local voluntary organizations.
