Education Leaders Urged to Create Safe Learning Environment

To usher in the new year, US Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and Acting Secretary John B. King, Jr., sent an open letter to education leaders, urging them to ensure that their "schools and institutions of higher education are learning environments in which students are free from discrimination and harassment based on their race, religion, or national origin." They also provided a list of resources.
