TESOL Response to Terror Attack at American University of Afghanistan

by David Cutler | 08/25/2016
25 August 2016 (Alexandria, VA) – TESOL International Association mourns the loss of 13 innocent lives and the dozens more who were left wounded in the wake of the terror attack at the American University of Afghanistan in Kabul. TESOL stands in solidarity with the countless other organizations, educators, and students who wish to change the world through education and higher learning, not fear and violence. As we remember those who were lost in this assault, TESOL will continue to advocate for the right of all students to learn and educators to teach in a safe and inclusive environment, where thoughts and ideas are allowed to flow freely and students are not intimidated by fear.
