Being a member of any Interest Section (IS) in TESOL means that you stay connected with information and updates in your area of interest. To reach out to its members, IS' use their e-list, web site, and e-newsletter. Members are encouraged to take advantage of all of these options as a way to keep informed of what TESOL and its members are doing.

Each e-list is managed by a leader in the community, and participants discuss topics germane to the community's goals or purpose.  Learn more about e-groups or start your own!

Members must click the appropriate checkboxes to receive e-list and newsletter email.  Members can make changes in their preferences for e-lists, including activating or de-activating receipt of messages from the e-list; choosing to receive one email a day with a digest or index of all the days messages; or modifying the email address to which messages are sent. Here's how to do it:

  1. Log into the web site
  2. In the Member Toolbox area (where you logged in), click on the My Communities link
  3. Check the boxes for Interest Section, and other e-lists and newsletters
  4. If you would like IS e-list email sent to an email account that is not your primary email, enter it in the appropriate box (If you want all email to go to your main email account on file, DO NOT ENTER IT AGAIN HERE.)
  5. Click the Save button on the lower right of the page
