Launched in 2006, the TESOL Technology Standards Project is developing both student and teacher standards for use of technology. The project was initiated from a proposal originally developed by the Technology Advisory Committee, and is being overseen by the Standards Committee. Technology Standards Project Team is being led by Deborah Healey of Oregon State University.

The Standards Committee is requesting feedback from the public on the draft framework for the technology standards that has been developed by the Project Team. The draft standards framework contains an introduction, discussion of the research and theoretical basis that informs the standards, and the basic framework (goals and standards) for both the student and teachers standards. (An unabridged version containing additional discussion and a list of draft progress indicators is also available.)

To comment on the draft standards framework, please download and review the document below, and then proceed to the survey to provide your feedback.

UPDATE - The deadline for public comments has been extended to November 10, 2007.
