Degree Offered: MA in TESOL.

Admission Requirements: The university requires a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with an average cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. The GRE is required. Nonnative speakers of English must have a TOEFL score of 600 (CBT 250; iBT 100) or higher. International students are required to submit financial documents demonstrating availability of funds for at least one year.
Tuition, Fees, and Aid: All students, US$1,178 per credit hour. Some financial aid, including merit-based awards such as graduate assistantships, is available.
General: The program is distinctive in its focus on actual experiential learning. Students plan lessons, observe classes, and design tests for English language classes. Faculty draw on their extensive teaching experience, research, and interaction with other cultures to provide pragmatic lessons and advice. This flexible program allows for full-time or part-time attendance, with most courses offered at convenient times in the evening. Courses are also offered during the Summer TESOL Institute.
Individual international internships may be arranged. Internships with the Peace Corps are available through the Master's International Program.
Part of this program is available via distance learning. ELT I course is offered online during the Summer TESOL Institute.
