Degree Offered: Master's International Program (MA in TESOL).
Length of Program: 4 semesters plus 27 months of Peace Corps service. Students may be full-time or part-time and may begin the program at the beginning of the fall, spring or summer semester.
Program Requirements: 36 credits. Competence in a language other than English is encouraged for native-English-speaking students. A portfolio based on work and research completed during the program is required. Neither practice teaching nor a thesis is required. A comprehensive examination is required.

Admission Requirements: The university requires a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with an average cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. The GRE is required. Applicants must also meet all Peace Corps requirements, including that of U.S. citizenship. Nonnative speakers of English must have a TOEFL score of 600 (CBT 250; iBT 100) or higher.
Tuition, Fees, and Aid: All students, US$1,178 per credit hour. Some financial aid, including merit-based awards such as graduate assistantships, is available.
General: This is a joint program with Peace Corps in which students receive a foundation in TESOL at the university and then complete the program by earning course work free based on their service as Peace Corps TEFL instructors. The program is designed to provide participants with the skills needed to participate in Peace Corps University TEFL and TEFL teacher training programs. Individual international internships may be arranged. Internships with the Peace Corps are available through this program.
Part of this program is available via distance learning. ELT I course is offered online during the Summer TESOL Institute.
