TESOL Online Professional Development Overview
Whether you design and deliver courses that are fully or partially run online, TESOL's Principles and Practices of Online Teaching Certificate Program will help develop the skills you need to effectively teach English language courses online or blend online segments with your traditional face-to-face courses. The program curriculum consists of certificate foundation and completion courses, and ten courses in general and content-specific topics.
TESOL virtual seminars are 90- to 120-minute Webcasts focused on key issues in ESL and EFL. The seminars are easy to access online from your home or office, as a live event or using the playback feature, when it fits your schedule. You can also extend peer-to-peer learning by bringing together ELT professionals in your school or area for the seminar at no extra charge (registration is on a per site basis).
TESOL gratefully acknowledges the support of Heinle, a part of Cengage Learning, in providing the technology platform for TESOL’s virtual seminars through their ELT Advantage program. Participants in ELT Advantage Online Professional Development courses can receive a TESOL Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of courses that have been reviewed and approved by TESOL.
TESOL Resource Center (TRC) is an online platform for TESOL members to find and share a variety of resources with peers in the profession. Launched in February 2007, it now has over 70 resources, ranging from lesson plans and quizzes to professional papers and presentations.
