To republish or duplicate materials copyrighted by TESOL for any nonpersonal purpose (including for academic course packs), you must obtain permission.
The TESOL permissions program is administered by Copyright Clearance Center (CCC). Any time you borrow more than 150 consecutive words from a TESOL publication, you need to contact CCC via their Web site, www.copyright.com. CCC will advise you of the fee when they respond to your request. This rule applies to all material from the following:
TESOL will not grant permission for the following types of requests:
For Library Reserves
Libraries may place up to three paper copies of any article or chapter from a TESOL publication on reserve without having to write for permission. TESOL offers a license for materials to be placed on electronic reserves.
For Permissions Outside the United States
For permission requests in Canada, you must contact CanCopy (also known as Access Copyright): Tel 416-868-1620; Fax 416-868-1621;http://www.accesscopyright.ca/. For permission to photocopy materials for course packs in other countries, ask CCC to direct you to the proper permission-granting institution.
