TESOL Quarterly (Print ISSN 0039-8222, Online ISSN 1545-7249) and Essential Teacher (Print ISSN 1545-6501) are available from TESOL through a library subscription program. Library subscribers receive TESOL Quarterly and Essential Teacher through a subscription with TESOL. No member benefits are conferred with the subscription, but libraries can access the Quarterly through IngentaSelect for no extra charge. See “Accessing TESOL Quarterly Online Through IngentaSelect” for more details.

TESOL's mission is to develop the expertise of its members and others involved in teaching English to speakers of other languages to help them foster effective communication in diverse settings while respecting individuals' language rights. To this end, TESOL

  • articulates and advances standards for professional preparation, continuing education, and student programs
  • links groups worldwide to enhance communication among language specialists
  • produces high-quality programs, services, and products
  • promotes advocacy to further the profession

TESOL's serial publications work to further these goals. If you have any questions, please send an e-mail message to libraries@tesol.org.
