AIDS Education Curriculum for ESOL Students

AIDS Education Curriculum for ESL Students and Other Learners of English is available on the World Wide Web. The curriculum helps students to understand what they must do to protect their health and develops the skills needed to translate such understanding into healthy behavior. It also develops the critical thinking and communication skills that are part of any good language instruction program.

Developed with assistance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and expert TESOL educators, the curriculum can be downloaded from http://www.hostos.cuny.edu/homepages/lesnick/. It contains five lessons with more than 20 classroom-tested AIDS education/language skills development exercises. Comments or questions about the material can be directed to Henry Lesnick at hlesnick@hostos.cuny.edu
