TESOL Announces 2016 Research Mini-Grant Recipients

Each year, the TESOL Research Professional Council accepts proposals for Research Mini-Grants. Each award provides up to US$2500 for applicants who are currently working on research or would like to start research projects that are aligned with the TESOL Research Agenda.

The Bilingual Teacher Shortage and Language Ideologies

Liv T. Dávila, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA)
An Examination of African High School English Learners’ Negotiation of New Language Learning and Academic Opportunity

Monica Marie Gonzalez, University of South Florida (USA)
Improving Preservice Teachers’ use of Technology Integrated Instruction with ELLs

The recipients will present their preliminary research at the TESOL International Convention & English Language Expo in Seattle, Washington, USA, 21-24 March 2017, during the TESOL Research Agenda Fair. Learn more about the recipients and their research here
