TESOL Call for Volunteers: 2019-2020 Professional Councils

by David Cutler | 09/06/2019
TESOL International Association is an organization of volunteers, so its success depends upon the initiative of leaders to share their vision for the field, stay informed on trends and concerns, and generate interest and collaboration.

TESOL members volunteer to serve the association, to create and disseminate knowledge, to influence public policy, and to maintain a strong organization. In maintaining membership in TESOL and volunteering in various capacities, TESOL leaders are imperative to the work of the association, which could not be accomplished without their time and expertise. Serving in a leadership capacity for the association offers a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth and is one of the many benefits of TESOL membership.

The list of available leadership opportunities includes serving on the following 2019-2020 professional councils:

Appointments to Professional Councils are for one year beginning on 1 November 2019, with the option to renew for another year at the end of the appointment. The maximum continuous service period on these Professional Councils is three years. To be eligible, you must be a member of TESOL International Association in good standing.

To learn more about the role and function of each Professional Council, and to apply online, please follow the links above. The deadline to apply is 23 September 2019.
