Register Today for the 2021 Virtual TESOL Advocacy & Policy Summit

by David Cutler | 02/02/2021
Registration for the 2021 TESOL Virtual Advocacy & Policy Summit is now open!

This year's Summit will be held virtually from 21-23 June.

With a constantly changing and polarized political landscape, being a TESOL advocate has never been more important! To help you navigate the complex policies impacting TESOL professionals, the TESOL Virtual Advocacy & Policy Summit will provide you with the knowledge and information to be a confident and successful advocate. By attending the summit, you will:

• Learn from experts and insiders about the latest U.S. education policies and advocacy initiatives by TESOL’s global affiliates.
• Share powerful messages with your members of Congress through the TESOL Advocacy Action Center.
• Join your colleagues virtually from across the United States and around the world to share the issues impacting your work locally.
• Earn over 16 hours of professional development across three days!

Over the course of three-days, topics that will be discussed include:

• K-12, higher education, IEP, and adult English learner policies
• U.S. immigration law and public policy
• Global English learner advocacy issues
• The new 117th Session of the United States Congress
• Policy resources for educators
• TESOL’s policy priorities for 2021, and much more!

The third and final day of the Summit will not only be dedicated to meeting virtually with your members of Congress and sending messages through the TESOL Advocacy Action Center, but it will also include a special session featuring representatives from TESOL’s Affiliate Network. This unique panel will discuss advocacy issues and projects that are being undertaken around the world.

Space is limited, so early registration is highly encouraged!
