TESOL Joins Over 120 Organizations in Call for Historic Funding Levels for ELs in United States

by David Cutler | 05/14/2021
In a letter sent to congressional leaders in both the House of Representatives and Senate, TESOL joined 121 organizations in a call for historic funding levels for K-12 English learners (ELs) in the United States.

Title III of the Every Student Succeeds Act, which is the main source of funding for ELs in the United States, is set at $797 million for FY 2021. The letter signed by TESOL calls on Congress to allocate $2 billion in FY 2022 in order to meet the needs of ELs in schools throughout the United States.
