TESOL Leadership Welcomes International Visitors (August 2007)

On August 13, TESOL President-Elect Shelley Wong, Board Member Brock Brady, and TESOL staff welcomed a group of 14 international educators at the TESOL office in Alexandria, Virginia. The group represented countries in Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Asia. TESOL leadership and staff met with the educators to discuss TESOL’s member benefits, goals, and educational opportunities and to learn more about how the association can better serve its members.

The educators stopped at TESOL as part of a three-week visit to the United States sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s English Access Microscholarship Program and coordinated by Oregon State University. The group’s visit ended in Washington, DC, on August 17.
