Program Description
This webinar will introduce you to TESOL’s newly-developed “
Standards for Short-Term TEFL/TESL Certificate Programs.” You will learn about the overall organization of the standards, and the three strands: 1) Candidate Standards, 2) Curriculum and Instructor Standards, and 3) Organization and Program Management Standards. An overview of the standards within each of the three strands will be provided, along with a description of the program assessment.
What Will I Learn?
At the completion of the webinar, you will understand
- the rationale on which the standards are based, and the scope and purpose of their development
- how the standards are organized and the three main strands
- how the standards can be used in different contexts for different (internal and external) purposes
- how to use the Program Assessment
