Program Description
This webinar will introduce participants to TESOL’s newly-developed “
Standards for Short-Term TEFL/TESL Certificate Programs.” Participants will learn about the overall organization of the standards, and the three strands: 1) Candidate Standards, 2) Curriculum and Instructor Standards, and 3) Organization and Program Management Standards. An overview of the standards within each of the three strands will be provided, along with a description of the program assessment.
Learning Outcomes
At the completion of the webinar, participants will have gained:
- Understanding of the rationale on which the standards are based, and the scope and purpose of their development
- Understanding of the overall organization of the standards, and the three main strands
- Insights on how the standards can be utilized in different contexts for different (internal and external) purposes
- Understanding of the structure and use of the Program Assessment
