Araceli Salas has a PhD in Language Science and an M.A. in ELT. Dr. Salas is a professor/researcher in the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla (BUAP) and an associate-editor of the TESOL and MEXTESOL Journals. She is involved in TESOL and is past-chair of the EFL-IS as well as a member of the Awards Professional Council. Her research interests include teacher-education, ESP, Discourse Analysis and Leadership in ELT.
Beatriz Erazo is a committed, energetic, collaborative teacher trainer and passionate speaker. She holds a degree in Linguistics and Languages from Mayor de San Andres University and an MA in TESOL from the SIT Graduate Institute, World Learning. Beatriz has taught in several educational establishments in Bolivia, at Hotel Training Center in Boston, MA, and World Learning, VT, USA. Currently, she teaches English at San Pablo Bolivian Catholic University; and Applied Linguistics and Oral and Written Communication in English at Mayor de San Andres University. She is also the Academic Director of EnglishTech S.R.L. Recently, Beatriz has been elected as Incoming Chair 2021-2022 for the English as a Foreign Language Interest Section at TESOL International Association. As a speaker, Beatriz has presented in different national conferences for English Teachers in Bolivia and international events in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and the US. Her interests relate to promoting students’ autonomy, motivation, critical thinking, and critical feedback within the principles of Cooperative Learning, Blended Learning, Experiential Learning, Reflective Teaching, and Game-Based Learning.
Dr. Pía Tabali-Marin holds a PhD in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics, University of Warwick. MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL, University of Sheffield, B.A in English Pedagogy at Central University. My areas of research are the teaching of English in primary school by using participatory activities; children as co-researchers; reflection; children and pre-service teachers’ voices. I am currently working with in a research project on the role of videogames in the learning of English for primary school children. I have been a lecturer in different universities in Chile working with pre-service teachers of English, supervising internships, teaching methodology and research. She has given talks, presentations and organized different workshops with pre-service teachers, in-service teachers and children. She is currently working at the English Teaching Department at Bernardo O’Higgins University. She has given talks, presentations and organized different workshops with pre-service teachers and in-service teachers for TESOL, IATEFL, universities.
