On October 26, 2007, 199 participants gathered at Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, in Kyiv, Ukraine, for the TESOL Symposium on English Language Assessment. The featured speakers were Jeffrey T. Connor-Linton, Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., United States; Constant Leung, King’s College London, London, England; and Jo Lewkowicz, University of Warsaw, Warsaw, Poland. Olga Bessonova, Donetsk National University, Donetsk, Ukraine, led the closing session.
