Our TexTESOL V Fall Conference, held November 6-8 at the Renaissance Dallas Richardson Hotel and Eisemann Center, was a resounding success!
Presenters and participants gathered from near and far to share an informative, thought-provoking retreat from the daily pressures of our many tasks.

Keynote speakers included such luminaries as Kathleen Kenfield, Nancy Cloud, Sandra Briggs, and Carol Chapelle. Featured speakers included John Segota, Laura Ayala, and Georgina Gonzalez, who updated us on important information at the federal and state levels. Featured/publisher presenters included Gretchen Bernabei, Keith Folse, and Carolyn Graham.

Keynote and featured speakers also conducted follow-up/prelude breakout sessions. Rose-Mary Rumbley provided regional humor as the Awards Luncheon speaker. Nearly 100 concurrent demonstration, paper, workshop, and colloquium sessions were enthusiastically received by the participants.

Three preconference Institutes offered by Mary Peacock and Diana Urrutia, by Gretchen Bernabei, and by Leslie Neal were enjoyed by participants who enrolled to attend these workshops. Over 30 vendors provided exhibits at the conference and TexTESOL V acknowledges the support of these corporate sponsors: Pearson/Longman, Santillana USA Publishing, National Geographic School Publishing/Hampton Brown, Heinle Cengage Learning, and Oxford University Press.
A summary of reviews of the favorite sessions our board members attended will be posted on the Web site and linked to the winter newsletter at http://www.textesolv.org.
