This is a famous story. This lesson plan introduces the vocabulary words using digital resources.

Audience: Elementary
Audience Language Proficiency: Intermediate
Duration: 15 minutes

Content Area: Reading, literature, social studies
Materials and Technology:
  • Tablet devices for each pair of students.
  • AR app installed on each tablet with internet access.
  • Colored papers with the vocabulary words written on them.
  • Extend students’ vocabulary.
  • Use affixes to determine the meaning of Greek and Latin words with affixes.
  • Use AR in teaching and learning.
  • Teacher prepared the AR papers and app.
  • She writes each word on a separate piece of paper and give to students.
  • Each word is related to a picture that reveals its meaning.
  • Students are going to open the AR app in their tablets. Point the camera to the paper with the word on it. Then, the picture selected by the teacher will appear.
  • Teacher can use short videos instead of just still pictures.
