Resource Description:
This lesson plan that focuses mostly on vocabulary development and improving reading skills is prepared for teachers/instructors teaching online who would want to spice up their lesson utilizing some online tools/apps. This lesson plan also aims at arousing interest and increasing student talking time in class by trying to keep them active as much as possible.

The focus of the lesson is mostly on improving reading skills by understanding and interpreting an academic text, learning new academic words, and transferring some of them into active vocabulary.
Outcome(s):
The students will have built confidence in reading and interpreting an academic text, recognizing the target words in the chapter, and transferring some of them into their active vocabulary.
Procedure:

Assessment:
In this 3-block lesson, the assessment is planned to be made by the students themselves. They will evaluate each group's project work performance on Mentimeter based on factors such as the frequency of the target words that appear in the presentation, creativity, and fluency.
Differentiation:
A vocabulary-in-context exercise that includes the target words in the chapter can be assigned as homework.
