Job Seeker Instructions

Go to Online Career Center and register as a job seeker. If you are already registered or have your resume posted on the Career Center Web site, update your My Account page to indicate you are attending the Job MarketPlace (JMP). You may do this by checking the box titled TESOL Job MarketPlace in your My Account tab.

To search for jobs available at the Job MarketPlace:

  • Select 'advanced search' and check the checkbox at the top next to "Only show TESOL Job Marketplace (JMP) jobs."

  • If the employer wishes to meet with you, the employer will respond back with a suggested interview time.
  • Scheduled interviews are considered firm unless you decline them.

  • To check your messages, from the My Account tab, click on "Check My Messages."
  • Messages in the inbox are listed much the same as in other messaging services. A closed envelope indicates unread messages; an open envelope indicates read messages.
  • To read a message, click on the subject.
  • Once you have read the message you can select "Delete," or "Reply."
  • To return to the list of messages click on "Messages."
  • To return to your account page, click "My Account."
  • Your replies to messages will appear in your outbox.
  • Scheduled interviews are considered firm unless you decline them.

View My Calendar/Interviews

From the My Account tab, click on this option to view your available times and scheduled interviews.

  • The employer's company name and booth number will show beside the time for which they have scheduled an interview with you.
  • Click on the company name to open up a window with the interview card.
  • The interview card will show the date, time, and location of the interview; as well as the company name and the name of the person with whom you will meet and the job description.
  • To close this window, click the "X" in the top right corner.
  • To decline a scheduled interview, click on the red "X" to the right of the employer's name. You may enter a personal message to be sent with the standard message. Then click "Yes" to send to employer.
