by John Segota | 01/19/2017
TESOL International Association, EnglishUSA, and the Consortium of University and College Intensive English Programs (UCIEP) have issued a joint statement in support of international students and intensive English programs (IEPs) in the United States. Citing the educational and cultural benefits that international students bring to the U.S., as well as the important role that IEPs serve in public diplomacy and the economy, the statement calls for the U.S. government to continue to support and provide a welcoming environment for international students, and facilitate student access to IEPs.
