Every year, TESOL International Association offers more than 80 awards through its
Awards, Honors, and Grants Program. Nearly 100 TESOL members volunteer to support these awards by reviewing applications.
TESOL is pleased to recognize the following peoples for their service to the association and/or scholarship in the field of English language teaching. They were recently honored at the
2018 TESOL International Convention & English Language Expo, 27–30 March in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

The TESOL Virginia French Allen Award for Scholarship and Service: Grazzia Maria Mendoza Chirinos, Honduran English Language Teachers Association, Honduras

The Mary Finocchiaro Award for Excellence in Unpublished Pedagogical Materials: Fakhira Najib, POWER99 Foundation, Pakistan

The Ruth Crymes TESOL Fellowship for Graduate Study: Stephanie Moody, Texas A&M University, USA

The TESOL Award for an Outstanding Paper on NNEST Issues: Jenson Deokiesingh, Macau University of Science and Technology, Macau
TESOL previously announced the 2018 recipients of the
James E. Alatis Award for Service to TESOL,
TESOL Presidents’ Award,
TESOL Award for Distinguished Research,
Rosa Aronson TESOL Professional Scholarships, and
TESOL Teacher of the Year.
TESOL also awards scholarships and travel grants to enable TESOL members to attend the annual TESOL Convention & English Language Expo. Sponsors of those awards include Betty Azar,
