TESOL Co-Signs Letter Recommending CARES Act Funding Guidance to Better Serve English Learners

TESOL International Association joined eight education organizations in a letter to the United States Department of Education, requesting and making recommendations for guidance on the use of CARES Act funding to better support English learners in K-12 public schools during these difficult times.

Recently signed into law, the CARES Act addresses the financial crisis brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and includes $13.5 billion in additional funding for K-12 public education.
