TESOL 2024 - Registration Rates

TESOL offers registration online. Because of potential errors in credit card transcription, TESOL does not offer registration by phone. Registrants can select to pay by credit card, check, or purchase order to complete the online registration.  

Credit Cards

TESOL accepts VISA, MasterCard, and American Express.

Checks

Checks are accepted as a form of online payment until 1 March 2024. Check should be selected as a form of payment during the online registration process.

TESOL reserves the right to cancel registration if payment is not received/postmarked by 15 March 2024. 

Purchase Orders

Purchase orders are accepted as a form of payment until 15 March 2024. Purchase orders must be submitted at the time of registration. They will be invoiced within 2 business days of receipt. Registrants registering with a purchase order should forward invoices to and follow up with their employer to ensure timely payment. Full payment must be received by 1 April 2024. 

Purchase orders should be submitted during online registration process and/or emailed to conventions@tesol.org. Purchase orders are not accepted as form of payment for on-site registration.

TESOL reserves the right to cancel registration if purchase order document is not received/submitted with registration. TESOL also reserves the right to deny purchase order from employer/institution that TESOL could not collect payment for the past events. Registrants will be contacted if purchase order was denied by TESOL.

Registration Confirmation

You should receive a confirmation via email immediately after you register online. Please add TESOL@showcare.com to your safe senders list to ensure that you get your confirmation and other convention emails.

Please read all instructions and policies carefully before registering for the TESOL International Convention & Expo. By completing registration for the Convention, you consent to abide by the policies outlined below. Any questions about policies should be addressed to TESOL Events.

Payment

Credit cards, checks, and purchase orders are accepted as a form of payment. Check payment must be postmarked no later than 1 March 2024. TESOL reserves the right to cancel registration if payment is not received/postmarked by 1 March 2024. Purchase order payment must be received by 1 April 2024. 

Refunds

Refunds are not issued on site. You must request a refund in writing, and it must be received by 1 March 2024. A U.S.$50 processing fee will be deducted from your refund.

• Preconvention Institutes (PCIs)
• Master's Student Forum
• Doctoral Research Forum
• Research Mentoring Workshop – Connecting Teaching and Inquiry
• TESOL Membership dues

Cancellations

TESOL reserves the right to cancel any events because of low registration or events beyond TESOL's control. In the unlikely event of cancellation, registrants will be notified and offered the option to switch to a different event or receive a full refund.

Consent to Use of Recorded Images and Audio

By registering, attending, or participating in meetings and other activities sponsored by TESOL International Association, you agree to allow TESOL International Association to record, reproduce, and distribute your image or voice in photographs, videotapes, audiotapes, and any other methods of reproduction now and in the future.

By registering to attend the TESOL 2024 International Convention & Expo, you expressly agree to adhere to any and all COVID-19 protocols implemented by TESOL International Association, any facilities or venues at which the convention is to be held, or any third-party organizations providing services, recreation, or entertainment at the convention. TESOL expects all attendees, vendors, and such to comply with the Oregon Health Authority. For more information, visit their website: https://govstatus.egov.com/OR-OHA-COVID-19. Agreement by you to comply with applicable COVID-19 protocols is a condition of your attendance at TESOL 2024.

As a TESOL 2024 attendee in Tampa, Florida, USA, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

• I agree to participate in and abide by all safety protocols implemented onsite by TESOL International Association. This may include, but is not limited to: wearing masks in public spaces, practicing social distancing, providing proof of a negative COVID-19 test (at attendee expense), temperature checking, completing health check questionnaires, proof of vaccination, etc.
• I understand that, to accommodate social distancing, some events may be limited to venue space capacities. I acknowledge that, although I may be attending the conference in-person, I may be asked to view or participate virtually should social distancing capacity be met in event spaces. 
• I agree NOT to attend the convention if I am experiencing or exhibiting any COVID-19 related symptoms as outlined by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), such as fever, dry cough, or shortness of breath. For a list of symptoms, please visits the CDC website.
• I agree NOT to attend the convention if I have become recently exposed to a person or animal with a positive and confirmed case of COVID-19, or if I have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19 within the past 14 days.
• I acknowledge the contagious and evolving nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to the virus and become infected as a result of my attendance at TESOL 2024. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any expense, liability, illness, injury, disability or death related to testing positive for the virus during or after the convention. In consideration of my registration for and attendance at TESOL 2024, I hereby irrevocably and forever release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless TESOL International Association and each of its affiliated partners and sponsors, including without limitation, their respective directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from all claims arising out of or connected with COVID-19. I understand and agree that this release of liability includes any claims against TESOL International Association, as well as conference personnel or representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurrence exists before, during, or after attendance and participation at the convention.
