TESOL Proposal to US Dept of Ed in Support of Multilingual Learners

by Jeff Hutcheson, Director Advocacy & Public Policy |
TESOL joins a coalition of 8 associations urging the US Department of Education to improve the education and lives of the 5 million Multilingual Learners in our school systems through a transformative agenda that 1) elevates OELA as the nation's main resource on policies and technical assistance for MLLs; 2) provide foundational funding for MLLs under Title III of ESSA; and 3) elevate MLLs and their families within schools, LEAs, and SEAs.
