Access Awards, Grants and Scholarships

TESOL members have access to numerous awards and grants that honor excellence in service to the field and research.

Members may apply for these awards and grants and share the information with their students and colleagues.

Eligibility Requirements

TESOL grants and scholarships are available only to TESOL members. Membership must be active at the time of application.

  • You may apply for multiple grants or scholarships, but you will not receive more than one award per year.
  • You may win an award only once. If you have received an award in the past, you are no longer eligible for that award.
  • Refer to the specific grant or scholarship for information on the eligibility criteria for each award and application process.

IMPORTANT: On the basis of the best information currently available to the United States Department of the Treasury, the following countries require or may require participation in, or cooperation with, an international boycott (within the meaning of section 999(b)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986). The countries are Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Yemen. As a result, TESOL International Association is unfortunately unable to send funds or issue awards to residents of these countries. Award applications received from residents of these countries are not eligible for consideration. We apologize to those individuals affected by this unfortunate situation.

Applications are due 15 September 2023.
