In our live online workshop, AI in the English Language Classroom: From Prompt to Practice: Exploring AI Tools for English Teachers, you'll learn how to leverage AI tools to help your multilingual learners of English improve their language skills and save yourself time in creating classroom materials and lesson plans. Workshop takes place 7-11 July from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. ET each day.

School-Wide English Learning (SWEL)

Language teachers are often asked to lead workshops and support their colleagues’ instruction, but they rarely have access to the training needed to accomplish this work efficiently, effectively, and with confidence. The Teacher Leadership for School-Wide English Learning (SWEL) workshop series prepares language teachers to share their expertise with colleagues through collaborative discussions and observations.

Webinar Series

NEW! Empowering Newcomers Webinar Series

TESOL International Association (TESOL), National Geographic Learning (NGL), and the Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL) are joining forces to create Empowering Newcomers: Engaging Strategies to Build Academic Language and Skills, a webinar series with an online learning community that offers practical strategies and expert insights to support newcomer multilingual learners at both the elementary and secondary levels. Participants will explore game-based learning, schema development, oral language enhancement, and targeted literacy techniques to create engaging and effective learning environments. Between April 2025 and June 2025, the Empowering Newcomers community will meet for five live webinars, hold asynchronous online discussions, and share resources.

Register for the TESOL-TIRF Research Symposium by 9 June!

Join classroom teachers, university researchers, and graduate students to explore the world of classroom research and what it might look like in the future! Through a global, online community of practice, you'll first meet asynchronously to discuss four research strands: classroom-based research and learning, teaching methods, professional development, and emerging technologies. Then, in mid-July, you'll come together for four live, interactive workshops around these strands.

TESOL 2025 Virtual Convention

Join your peers from around the world for the TESOL 2025 Virtual Convention, 21-22 November! New this year, TESOL is also hosting an online Graduate Student Forum prior to the convention and an online Pre-K-12 Day following. You can register for one or more events!
