TESOL Seeks Senate Appropriations Funding for ESSA for FY23

by Jeff Hutcheson, Director Advocacy & Public Policy |

The U.S. House of Representatives passed its appropriations for Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Services earlier this month, with increases in funding of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for English learners.

Now, the U.S. Senate must do its part for the Fiscal Year 2023 budget in funding ESSA to support students, professionals, and schools - and your voice is needed!

We ask that you take action today and let your Senators know of the need for increases in funding for multilingual learners and the profession.
